Finally if you are working on your car or light truck on a regular basis you will already have a set of drive on ramps or safety stands. Drive the car’s front wheels up onto the stands, put the car in park and set the hand brake and block the back wheels for added safety.
Proceed under the car, loosen the oil drain plug and drain for 5 minutes into the pan. While that’s going on take off the old oil filter and install the new one. Be sure and lube the gasket on the new filter so it will seat properly and install.
Then come up on top with your funnel and pour into the crankcase filler your new oil. Drive off the racks – all done!
